Terms & Conditions
1. All vouchers need to be booked in for a flight date scheduled to take place before the expiry date on the voucher.
2. Once the passenger has booked a flight, they will become subject to the operator’s terms and conditions, this includes the operator’s cancellation terms. ALL TICKETS ARE NON- REFUNDABLE!
3. Each voucher entitles one person to a flight from one of our chosen venues, either of the length specified or as a credit towards a longer flight. Vouchers are transferable.
4. Refunds will not be given for flight cancellation due to adverse weather conditions or if flights are cancelled due to technical/operational reasons. Passengers are responsible for rebooking onto a flight, if in the event of a cancellation, simply contact out Booking Office ( Monday to Friday 10am - 4pm) on the Freecall number 08000 72 76 77 to reschedule. The voucher expiry date will be extended if necessary.
5. Lothian Helicopters will not be liable for any costs such as travel or accommodation incurred by the passenger(s) under the event of a cancelled flight.
6. Passengers may not cancel or postpone bookings within seven working days of a flight. However, under exceptional circumstances and given that the seat is able to be reallocated, late postponement may be accepted. Lothian Helicopters also reserves the right to postprone flights under exceptional circumstances. The Chief Pilot's decision which will be reached in a reasonable way, will be final. Passengers will be asked to reschedule their flight by simply calling the Freecall number 08000 72 76 77.
7. Helicopter flying is a weather dependant activity, mainly due to wind speed and clould base above the ground. Just because the "sun is shining" does not mean that it is safe weather to fly! Flights are only postponed in the interest of passenger SAFETY! To save unnecessary journeys PLEASE CONTACT THE WEATHER LINE (detailed on the Boarding Pass) TWO HOURS BEFORE YOU ARE DUE TO FLY ON THE DAY OF THE FLIGHT. A recorded message will inform you whether the flights are able to take place. Tour routes may vary depending on weather and air traffic control.
8. Please arrive a minimum of 15 minutes before the flight time to check in and to receive a safety briefing. Passengers late arrival or failure to arrive for a flight in time renders the voucher(s) void and is/are non refundable.
9. Passengers who present themselves at the helipad in an inebriated state, or who use indecent language, or exhibit aggressive behaviour towards either Lothian Helicopter’s staff or other passengers will not be flown and such behaviour will render their voucher(s) void and non-refundable.
10. Lothian Helicopters reserves the right to charge a FUEL SURCHARGE to reflect any sudden increases in the costs of aviation fuel. This would be minimised as much as possible and will only last as long as the volatility in world crude oil prices continues. A charge would be made prior to customers taking their tour. This would not be any more than: £3pp on a 10 minute experience / £5pp on a 15 minute experience / £10pp on a 30 minute tour.
